INDUSTRIAL VALVES :

VALVE SELECTION CHART : for the (4) most common types :
- Globe Valve : advantage -Best shut off & regulating charateristics
disadvantage - High pressure drop (head loss), Unidirectional
- Gate Valve : advantage -Low pressure drop. Straight through flow either direction
disadvantage - Slow acting, bulky
- Ball Valve : advantage -Quick acting. Straight through flow in either direction. Low pressure drop & operating torque. Easily actuated
disadvantage - Temperature limitations on seating material. Long " relative "face to face dimension
- Butterfly Valve : advantage -Quick acting. Good regulating charateristics. Compact & light. Lowpressure drop. Easily actuated
disadvantage - Temperature / Pressure limitations
Small Ball Valves : 6mm to 80mm
A comprehensive range of Bronze, Cast Iron, Steel, Stainless Steel & Plastic ball valves are available. Full bore or Reduced bore, most screwed with BSP or NPT connection, or Flanged valves.
Approvals include : DZR, AGA, Firesafe.
Service includes : water, oil, chemicals, air, gas & steam.
Configurations : 2-way, 3-way, L-port, T-port, variable control - open/close.
Actuation types : manual handle or wheel, Air or Electric actuators.
Large Ball Valve : 40mm to 900mm " or larger "

Piston Valve :
